Mommy and Daddy took me out to the Ashbury community pool this past week. I’m still working out the kinks to this “swimming” thing, but I had a pretty good time – big cousin Keara went with me to show me the ropes! Since Mommy had to work this weekend ( 🙁 ), Daddy took me with Aunt Bethie and the Harvey’s out to our cabin. This was my third trip there, but my first time in the pool in Dahinda. I stayed a bit longer this time and even went into 4′ deep water. I thought you might enjoy some videos and pictures, so check out the photos starting with this page in my photo gallery.

They’re putting me to work already! Last week, Mommy and Daddy took me to this place where a nice girl took my pictures. It was mostly fun – I got to pose with my classic pooh animals and play dress-up – all while watching Mommy and Daddy acting really silly! After nearly an hour without a union break, however, I simply had to put my foot down…honestly…how much work can a little lady be expected to do that late in the afternoon!
The results of my first modelling “gig” can be seen at:

Since these are highly-valuable, you’ll need a password to view them…but if you promise not to tell anyone, I’ll give it to you here: 9503 – but, Sshhhh…it’s a secret!

Annalise ate rice cereal for the first time on Sunday, 6/4/06. She loved it! She kept trying to grab the spoon to feed herself.

Mommy is so forgetful sometimes. She forgot to give you a link to see my first trip to Buffalo! I also finally managed to roll over from back to front tonight — although I needed Daddy to help me free my arm. I should be able to do it all by myself any day now!
Lastly, I want to introduce everyone to my new cousin, Veronica Grace Laubenstein:

Born to Uncle Scott and Aunt Marybeth May 30th @11:27am
7lbs, 6oz.; 19-1/2in. long

Sorry it’s been so long since we’ve posted, but we’ve had a busy couple weeks. Annalise took her first plane ride to Buffalo, NY to see her Gramma and Grampa and and to meet her cousins, aunts, and uncles. She did great on the plane! No crying at all! We all had fun visiting out in Buffalo.
Annalise is getting so big! She was 15 lbs, 10 oz at her 4 month doctor’s appointment. She did better with her immunizations than Mommy did!
Annalise rolled from her back to her belly today (5/31/06). Unfortunately, we did not have the camera anywhere near us so you’ll just have to take our word on it!

It was a very busy weekend at the Jaromin household. Saturday (5/13/06) we had Annalise baptised at Alleluia Lutheran Church in Naperville. She did very well until the pastor wanted to walk her around the congregation. She started crying as soon as she was in his arms! She looked beautiful in the christening gown that Grammie (Laubenstein) made for Kaelin 15 years ago. The other cousins have worn it as well, so it was a nice tradition to continue. I think Grammie and Poppie would have been happy to see her wearing it. Everyone gathered at our house afterward for dinner and cake. Sunday was Mother’s Day. Annalise and Daddy did a very good job of spoiling me today. Apparently while I wasn’t looking, Annalise called Daddy and told him to order a Palm Pilot and two dozen roses for me for Mother’s Day. Daddy also gave me an early Mother’s Day gift by landscaping the backyard while Annalise and I were at the cabin last weekend with Aunt Bethie and Keara. It looks beautiful! The roses are beautiful too and I’m having a lot of fun learning about all the things I can do with the PalmOne. We are looking forward to going to Buffalo this week to see Gramma and Grandpa Jaromin and the rest of the Jaromin family!

Annalise was doing the funniest thing yesterday (4/29/06). Daddy and I were sitting with Annalise at the kitchen table when she started laughing out of the blue! The more we laughed, the more she did! Of course we tried to get this on film, but as soon as the camera was turned on, she just stared at the camera and stopped giggling. The second we turned the camera off, she would start her belly laugh again! She did this for about 5 minutes, laughing when the camera was off but stopping as soon as we turned it on. We didn’t want this moment to end! You know we’ll try to capture it on film if it happens again. Wish us luck!

Giggling’s not all I can do! I was working really hard on rolling over to my tummy. I’m not quite there yet but I’m getting close! And I’m a pro at tummy time!

We finally got it! Leave it to Daddy to get Annalise giggling. I think the only reason we were able to get it on film is that Annalise didn’t see the camera coming. She’s a little camera shy!
See movie

Mommy is so proud. As you can see from the video, Annalise rolled over for the first time on 4/17. If I knew how to work the video on my camera, you would have seen the whole thing, not just the end. Believe me, she did start on her tummy. With a lot of encouragement from Daddy, she did it! Yesterday (4/20) we heard the most beautiful sound in the world. Mommy was kissing Annalise’s neck when she started to laugh. I’m so glad Daddy was home to be a witness. Unfortunately, once we got the video ready she didn’t find it nearly as funny anymore. Oh well, better luck next time.
